Ms. Elliott began working in the environmental field in 1991. Prior to entering the environmental field, she worked with hazardous materials in the electroplating industry. Her environmental career spanned nearly 15 years and included work as a field chemist, treatability laboratory manager, remedial site manager, and technical scientist. Ms. Elliott gained extensive experience in developing and delivering training modules for her in-house staff and outside audiences during seven years as a technical contractor for the United States Environmental Protection Agency. These modules included basic HAZWOPER topics as well as specialized Homeland Security and Counter Terrorism topics such as Anthrax health and safety issues, sampling techniques, and detection and decontamination methods. In an academic and field environmental career which spans more than 15 years, she worked on sites involving contamination of surface water, groundwater, soil, sediment, and building materials. As a United States Environmental Protection Agency contractor for six years, Ms. Sapp designed and delivered training courses for emergency operations management software, including CAMEO, MARPLOT, ALOHA, to emergency responders and community planners. |
